Rentox 100U works by using Clostridium Botulinum Toxin Type A to temporarily block nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. This temporary muscle relaxation helps smooth out expression lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial movements, such as frowning or squinting.
Because the muscle stays relaxed, the skin above it looks smoother and more refreshed. Over time, this can also prevent deeper wrinkles from forming. The effects are temporary and typically last around 3–4 months before muscle activity gradually returns.

Product preparation
To prepare Rentox 100U for injection, reconstitute the freeze-dried powder with sterile, preservative-free 0.9% Sodium Chloride (saline) to make a solution of 100 units in 2.5 mL (equivalent to 4 U/0.1 mL).
Draw the appropriate amount of saline into a syringe and inject it gently into the vial—do not shake or agitate, as the product may be damaged. Instead, gently mix by rotating the vial. Discard the vial if there is no vacuum when the saline is added. After reconstitution, the solution should be clear, colorless, and free of particles.
Record the date and time of reconstitution on the label. Store the reconstituted product in a refrigerator (2–8°C) and use it within 24 hours. Since the product and diluent contain no preservatives, the reconstituted solution should be used for a single patient only.
How to dilute Rentox 100U
Rentox comes in a vial containing a fine, freeze-dried powder containing 200 units of Botulinum toxin type A that needs to be diluted with 0.9% saline.
Note: The powder is very fine, so the vial may look empty. Rest assured that all units are present.

Step-by-Step Dilution Instructions:- Follow the following steps to dilute & reconstitute your toxin.
- Take the vial out of the refrigerator and visually inspect: the vial should be colorless and transparent with a small quantity of white/light yellow freeze-dried powder.
- Using the table below, draw Saline (0.9% Sodium Chloride) into a syringe and slowly add it to the vial.
- Gently and slowly swirl the vial to mix, do not shake excessively.
- The reconstituted product should be kept in the refrigerator (2-8℃) and used within 24 hours
Note: Manufacturers recommend using the toxin within 24 hours of dilution, but research has shown that the reconstituted product remains stable for up to 5 weeks in the refrigerator (2-8℃).

Rentox 100U is intended for intramuscular injection using a 30-gauge needle. For treating glabellar lines (frown lines), the recommended dose is 0.1 mL per injection point, distributed across 5 sites: 2 injections in each corrugator muscle and 1 in the procerus muscle—for a total of 20 units.
Injection Guidelines:
Injections should be placed at least 1 cm above the bony supraorbital ridge to reduce the risk of eyelid ptosis.
Use caution to avoid injecting into blood vessels.
When injecting below the orbital ridge, place your thumb or index finger below the ridge to avoid complications.
The needle should be directed toward the upper center of the injection point, with special care to inject the correct volume.
Muscles targeted include the corrugator and procerus, which contribute to glabellar lines. These muscles pull the brows together and downward, creating frown lines. Dosage effectiveness may vary depending on the patient's muscle mass, activity, and treatment goals.
Each treatment typically lasts 3–4 months. More frequent use is not recommended due to unestablished safety and efficacy.
Post-treatment
To ensure the best results and reduce the risk of side effects after Rentox 100U injections, follow these general care guidelines:
Remain upright for at least 4 hours after the procedure to prevent the product from migrating to unintended areas.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours unless advised otherwise by a healthcare provider.
Do not apply makeup for 24 hours to avoid irritation or contamination.
Avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, and excessive sun exposure for 24–48 hours post-treatment.
Limit alcohol intake on the day of treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
