PDO Screw Threads, in contrast to Mono Threads, possess a spiral configuration that permits a more noticeable and prompt elevation of the skin.
Similar to Mono Threads, Screw Threads also encourage the production of collagen, resulting in a dual advantage of instant skin tightening and long-lasting revitalization.
Typically, PDO Screw Threads are employed in areas requiring a slight boost or enhancement in volume, like the nasolabial folds, lips, or even the cheeks.

What is Mono Screw Thread?
In addition to mono threads, several threads utilized for various treatments undergo a specific twisting process. These dissolvable twist threads, made from medical-grade PDO material, represent another technique for utilizing PDO threads. These mono screw PDO threads are inserted into the skin to address facial folds, grooves, and wrinkles. Typically, they consist of two to three strands coiled together to create the final result as a twisted type of PDO thread.
What areas can be treated with this Screw PDO threads?
Screw threads or twist threads can effectively address various areas of the face, neck, and body.
The choice of PDO thread utilized depends on the specific needs of the individual patient. Twist threads, in particular, are ideal for targeting creases and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds or laugh lines, frown lines, horizontal forehead lines, and neck wrinkles. However, these sutures can also be utilized for treating other areas, including:
- Crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes
- Upper lip wrinkles
- Turkey neck sagging
- Belly skin tightening
- Marionette lines extending from the corners of the mouth towards the chin and jawline
- Acne scars
- Wrinkles on other body parts like the arms, knees, and stomach.
How Mono Screw Threads Work?
PDO Screw threads, similar to smooth Mono threads, lack barbs and can effortlessly glide beneath the layers of the skin, resulting in a nearly painless insertion process. Rather than lifting or repositioning the dermis, they are designed as a single filament strand to stimulate and preserve elastin. This collagen stimulation contributes to an enhanced facelift effect, creating a revitalized facial structure and prolonging the effectiveness of the treatment.
Features of Screw PDO Thread
The Screw thread offers a heightened tightening effect and is versatile for both facial and body applications.
When the Screw thread is embedded in the skin, it generates an extensive stimulation of the dermis, leading to increased production of fibrous connective tissue.
Screw PDO Thread exhibits a more pronounced tightening effect compared to smooth thread when targeting the improvement of the jawline, mouth lines, eye area fine lines, and forehead wrinkles.
Additionally, the screw thread can be employed on the body to tighten the arms and reshape the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.
PDO Thread Lifting Before and After
PDO threads are biodegradable and typically get absorbed within approximately 6 months. However, the results can continue to manifest between 12 to 24 months. Even after the complete dissolution of the threads, the absorption process stimulates the reconstruction of collagen fibers, ensuring a lasting impact.
Soon after the procedure, you can observe improved firmness and elasticity, increased collagen production, enhancement in skin texture, and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Eventually, the skin will regain its original density and radiant appearance.

I wasn’t sure if I was brave enough to try this out, but after using the lidocaine cream I purchased through this site it gave me the courage. I used them in my nasolabial folds. They were very simple to use, and I can tell a difference. I only used 10 of them. I will be using the other 10 in a couple of days. I am trying so hard to wait the 2 weeks recommended to see a difference before trying something else so I will know what works for me and what doesn’t.
